Engineering Services

C3I provides full-lifecycle engineering services to the U.S. Navy, Coast Guard, and maritime industry. With ISO 9001:2015 certified processes and deep knowledge of NAVAIR’s Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR), we deliver safe, reliable, and mission-ready systems from concept through sustainment.

C3I has a proven record of integrating critical technologies into new ship designs, including Next Generation Visual Landing Aids (NGVLA), firefighting solutions, and advanced control systems. Through this expertise, we deliver safe, modern, and reliable capabilities that enhance fleet readiness.

Electrical Engineering

Performance and Reliability in Every Connection

C3I’s electrical engineers design and qualify shipboard electronics and components that meet the Navy’s toughest standards for performance, safety, and long-term reliability. From circuit-level design to integrated assemblies, our team develops hardware that functions as critical safety equipment and withstands the demands of daily fleet use. We approach every design with the mindset that Sailors’ lives depend on it—building systems that are intuitive, dependable, and built to last.

Our engineers also ensure seamless integration with ship infrastructure and third-party equipment, coordinating across multiple platforms and technologies to deliver complete solutions that enhance operational effectiveness without adding complexity.

Program Example: Our electrical engineers successfully designed, delivered, and integrated our ACCS hardware and networked system for the Zumwalt-class, interfacing with more than 120 electronic components to deliver fault-tolerant communications, resilient control, and mission-critical reliability across nine major shipboard systems.

Mechanical Engineering

Reliable by Design

Backed by decades of military-focused design experience, our mechanical engineers bring proven expertise to every project, designing with the foresight to get it right the first time. We develop and qualify hardware, enclosures, and mounts built to withstand shock, vibration, EMI/EME, and harsh maritime environmental conditions. Drawing on past success, our team designs for durability, maintainability, and seamless integration.

Program Example: Our mechanical engineers successfully designed and qualified ALS-CPS hardware, enclosures, and interfaces that met NAVAIR Program of Record qualification requirements for shipboard shock, vibration, EMI, and environmental MIL-STDs, delivering a reliable solution with full hardware documentation.

Systems Engineering

Integrating Mission-Critical Solutions

Our systems engineering team unifies mechanical, electrical, and software disciplines into fully qualified solutions. We manage requirements, documentation, configuration, and logistics to ensure every system meets Navy and Coast Guard lifecycle standards.

Program Example: Our systems engineers supported the development our NVIS Monitor, integrating hardware, software, and human factors into a multi-mode design that is NVG-friendly, preserves night vision, and enhances safe, reliable operation at sea.

Field Support Team

From Shipyard to Sea, We’ve Got You Covered

C3I’s deployable field support team provides installation, troubleshooting, sustainment, and certification support directly to the fleet. We work alongside shipyards, Navy stakeholders, and ships’ force to ensure reliable performance and compliance during trials and operations.

Program Example: Our field support team has provided direct fleet support through AVCERT inspections, NGVLA installations, and ACCS/ALS-CPS troubleshooting, ensuring proper integration, certification, and fleet readiness for deployment.
